Absolute disaster. Worst experience I've ever had with lodging. Still haven't received a refund.

Avoid this property — and do not expect Booking.com to protect you if something goes wrong. Before arrival, the property sent excessive and confusing instructions, including requiring photos of both guests’ IDs. They also asked guests to report problems so they could resolve them and preserve their 5-star rating. We did exactly that. On arrival, another car was in our designated parking spot. Worse, the apartment door was unlocked and ajar, and the unit had plainly not been cleaned: the bed was unmade, the trash was full, an empty beer can was on the floor, and a wet used towel was hanging in the bathroom. I photographed the bed, immediately messaged the manager, said we would not be staying, closed the door, and left. I did not take more photos because I was not even sure whether someone might still be inside. We paid for a hotel instead. “The manager initially replied, ‘I’ll inform the management,’ and later, ‘I’ll follow up the management [sic].’ I followed up repeatedly; nothing.” Booking.com was no better. Its first representative told me I would be compensated regardless of whether the property responded and that the matter would be resolved within 48 hours. It was not. Four days later, after no update, I spent well over an hour on another call, mostly on hold while Booking.com unsuccessfully tried to reach the property. I was then told Booking.com would compensate only 10% because the property was not responding. After I repeatedly requested a supervisor, the call was disconnected. I called again, reached a supervisor, and Booking.com still refused to refund the full $77.95. It later emailed me an offer of $11.69 that I had to log in and accept. So: an unsecured, uncleaned apartment; an unresponsive host; immediate notice that went nowhere; and Booking.com refusing to make the guest whole because it could not reach its own property partner. Avoid this place. Do not assume Booking.com will protect you when a property fails this badly.

This was a unit in a small apartment. The property manager switched our assigned unit (sent photos) two hours before check-in time. When we went into the unit, the newly assigned unit was old, looked nothing like the photos (even different colors of paint and furniture) and the worst of all - it reeked of smoke. My wife was coughing non-stop from the smell. We did not even unpack or sit down, we had to leave. When we left, someone from another unit was smoking marijuana.
