Clean, quiet, comfortable, minimalistic, good value for money

The location on the silent island of Murano was great. When we walked outside or sat in cafés there were only locals, absolutely different than directly in Venice which is crowded with tourists almost everywhere. Also the appartment has a nice view direct to the canal. The vaporetto station is very close. Also a supermarket and some cafes are close. Ideal for romantic couples who want their privacy. You can also go jogging on the island. Just silent and peaceful. We had the "appartment" upstairs, which is actually not an appartment, rather it is two separate rooms (bed room and living room/kitchen), that are NOT connected, you must walk over a public hallway. There are two bathrooms both with toilet and shower, which was practical when you shower at the same time. The key was easy to find. We met nobody from the owners which is good in our case, since we want privacy. The photos show not just the "appartment" but ALL the rooms they offer, it is a mix of the entire building's rooms, which contains 3 bedrooms plus 1 living room. That confused us, in real just a few of those photos belong to the upstairs "appartment".

The "appartment" is actually two NOT CONNECTED rooms. We did not like that. You must pass a public hallway to get from one to the other. It would be better to have a lockable door on the groundfloor so the entire 1st floor would be really your private space. The 2nd bathroom is also in the hallway so also other guests from the ground floor could use it. We were really annoyed that the living room/kitchen/dining room could NOT be locked. So everybody else could have stolen our grocery from the refrigerator and we were not able to leave valuables in that room. It is more like a general lounge and kitchen for all guests. To call all that "appartment" ist just not correct and honest. Also we missed the SOFA, that is visible on the photos. In real there is NO SOFA. That means you can not chill out and watch TV in a comfortable way, regular kitchen chairs are not the way to relax. We found it dishonest to show a sofa which actually does not exist. Also the kitchen is not equipped like the description. We missed the water cooker that was supposed to be there to make our instant coffee and tea. We also expected a stack of towels on the bed like you see it on the photos. There was nothing. We searched the closets and found towels, but they were not really nice and we had doubts when they were washed. We tried to contact the owners to ask about those things but nobody answered the phone or our text message. That was disappointing. A disadvantage of the silent and nice location is: when you spend your evenings in Venice it is a little difficult to get back to Murano in the night. You should really check the lines and schedules before and be prepared to walk some distances for connections, especially after 10 P.M. The refrigerator is not really strong to have really icecold drinks.
