We liked the tranquil peace and being close to nature. And our dog enjoyed wandering around the site without fear of upsetting anyone.
The road to the location is quite narrow, take care.

We had a lovely chilled overnight stay at The Piggery. An old stone out-building converted to a cosy bedroom thats a quirky little off-grid accommodation but with power for lights etc. Great for a relaxed nights and includes a wood burning stove to avail of, but we didn't need to use it being August time, although it would be lovely lit. Bathroom with hot shower and kitchen are separate to sleeping quarters meaning a short walk outdoors but not an inconvenience, and even a novelty for us. Surrounding area is allowed to grow freely as nature intended and there is a nice walk to some woodland. A small courtyard esq for use of guests with table and chairs, lovely for glasses of wine and relaxing in the countryside. It was lovely escape for some downtime. Host was lovely, affable, accomodating and passionate about the natural aspect of this lovely setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the piggery. Thank you so much for this experience.
Some folk may find the kitchenette a little basic but didn't stop us preparing a lovely cooked meal on the stove 😋.

If you are looking for a quiet place this is perfect. Here, time flows differently, slower, as if someone shifted into the most pleasant, chillout gear.
We felt like we were at the best campsite from the old days. The scent of the deep forest, wild flowers, an evening campfire, a crackling fireplace, and that brilliant outdoor kitchen... Absolutely wonderful! A total throwback to the most beautiful childhood memories. We could finally recharge our batteries to 100% and take a deep breath away from the daily grind. The whole atmosphere brought us so much pure, childlike joy.
As soon as the opportunity arises, we will be back without a second thought!
And finally, a huge thank you and lots of love to Sophie – for such a warm and sweet welcome that made us feel right at home from the very start. Thank you so much! ❤️
