This is amazing place to stay because it's virtually derelict but the rooms we had have recently been beautifully furnished and were clean. Probably not for everyone but if you're interested in historic buildings as we are you will see the point.
It's sad that this building has been allowed to deteriorate but there is great potential so I hope they will be able to finish it.

It is a mansion and if you love history, this is a place hard to beat. Leave some time to explore the grounds. It is like Alice in Wonderland. When this place get fully operational, i can see weddings, Halloween, Christmas parties and adventures and so on. Sheep were arms length away. So cool.,

This is a unique location. If you enjoy history, then you will love this place. It was where Prince Charles held his inauguration ball following being crowned Prince of Wales at Caernarfon Castle in 1969. It has had several owners since then. The present owner Steve is working hard to restore this 137 room mansion back to its former glory. I wish him the very best. I stayed in the Princess Diana suite. Superb!

Interesting concept for a night. The park was amazing.
Aside from the renovation work, which there were no issues with, the rooms could be better prepared for guests: curtains covered 2/3rds of the huge windows so 5am was wake up time, very thin single pillow, uncomfortable mattress, room smelt of damp. More hostel style accommodation at the moment despite the price.
