The apartment itself was exactly like the photos.
The stair well up to the apartment smelled quite bad, but that's more of a building issue. The room itself was sparkling clean.

The apartment was extremely convenient for the railway station and the centre of Sheffield. Being above a shop was very useful for food and the kitchen was very well equipped. The apartment was very elegant and well laid out for comfort and convenience. I would recommend it as better equipped than a simple hotel room, especially for a longer stay - I only stayed one night.
The only downside was that the third floor room (actually 4 floors up) had to be accessed by stairs as the lift was not working. Fortunately I am fairly active for a 70 year old, but worth checking if you have difficulty with stairs.

Very near train station. Just up the hill. Good value in price. Apartment, once you were inside, was well appointed. Decent bed and linens. Big TV. A lot of attention to detail in the decorating and stocking of kitchen supplies. Nice bath towels.
Owner never could resolve issue of WiFi. It did not work despite my efforts to troubleshoot problems. I’m not new to tech. Was not my lack of ability to connect. Router was having trouble connecting to broadband despite my resetting it. I think owner should have a backup service to call. In fairness. It was the weekend. More importantly if you are going to rent a place on the third floor in summer you should provide your guests a fan. The third floor and all communal hallways were absolutely sweltering. Windows only opened a very small crack. In addition I make very sure buildings have a lift. This lift in this building was broken. I counted the stairs. There are 57 of them. It was very difficult to bring my luggage in sweltering heat up 57 stairs. Neither of these are the direct fault of the owner but owner is responsible for making sure facilities are as presented. While location was convenient what the photos on booking don’t show is that the entrance to the apartment is shared by the grocery store next door which uses that entrance as their garbage area. This is made for, particularly in a heatwave, for a very unpleasant experience every entrance and exit
