Should’ve stayed at one of the B&BS instead

My friend and I like Kinvarra in general but not the property we stayed out.

We booked this place on a whim as at the time it had no reviews. It appeared to be a tiny cottage behind a house (which was fine as I've stayed in guest houses before). However there are people living in tents and little storage container looking homes on the property. There's at least a dozen people on the property that we've seen in the last few days and they're for lack of a better term odd characters. The host said someone lives here only in the winter which doesn't seem to be the case; it seems someone lives here when the property isn't being booked as someone came around asking for us for the cat food his girlfriend put in the fridge in our cottage. There have been numerous spiders and loud talking right near the cottage at night which has been making my friend and I on edge and looking for other stays where we'll feel safe and at ease. The man staying in the shed told my friend and I they're known as the "funny farm" and local law enforcement has been here numerous times involving complaints which only increased our concerns. We also had no hot water for the 4 days we stayed there. We submitted a safety concern regarding all this which was sent to the host before we left. In the early hours my friend and I heard a large clattering noise and someone outside the cottage. When we went downstairs we saw the lock had been broken and was snapped on the floor. This has to have been the worst experience I’ve had.

Although described as a small house, it really was extremely small! We are a couple and could only move one person at a time inside. I think if you were more than average height and build it would be very difficult to manage. On arrival we were greeted by other people who lived in the small community. Although friendly, they appeared drunk and were slightly intrusive. The resident cat was very keen to get into the house. We did not wish it to come in, we did keep the windows closed as suggested, however we had not expected it to try to come into the skylight in the middle of the night!

Very clean. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Good parking.

Although described as a small house, it really was extremely small! We are a couple and could only move one person at a time inside. I think if you were more than average height and build it would be very difficult to manage. On arrival we were greeted by other people who lived in the small community. Although friendly, they appeared drunk and were slightly intrusive. The resident cat was very keen to get into the house. We did not wish it to come in, we did keep the windows closed as suggested, however we had not expected it to try to come into the skylight in the middle of the night!
