About this house rental
Snuggle up on winter nights amongst the treetops in front of the wood burning fireplace and enjoy entertaining on the large outdoor balcony with beautiful sunset views. This comfortable family and pet friendly holiday home is just a 5-10 minute walk to both swimming and all-season leash-free dog walking beaches. Spacious, tranquil and fully fenced dog friendly garden. The large garden has established shade trees, a fire-pit area, as well as an additional outdoor dining and lounging space.
The house has two comfortable living areas and a large balcony with brand new Weber BBQ. The cook’s kitchen is fully equipped with a full-sized fridge, dishwasher, brand new 90cm Smeg dual fuel oven, microwave and Sunbeam barista coffee machine. Great range of pots, pans, serving dishes and all you need for entertaining.
There is also a split system heater/air-conditioner upstairs and additional portable electric heaters and standing fans for the other areas of the house. There are 2 smart TVs and unlimited wifi, although only the downstairs TV has access to free-to-air TV. Or you can stay off screens altogether and enjoy a great variety of puzzles, games and books. Feel free to use the 2 boogie boards in the shed.
Two bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed, while downstairs there is a bedroom with a bunk bed, double on the bottom and single on top. With an additional trundle under the downstairs bunk and a double sofa bed in the downstairs living area, the house very comfortably sleeps seven but can stretch to 10. Bed linen is provided for all beds, as well as plenty of bath towels and tea towels. Please note however that there is only one bathroom, so 10 people might have a bit of wait for their turn.
Ventnor is a semi-rural area surrounded by countryside, diverse, pristine beaches, is home to fantastic birds, sea life & wildlife. In winter humpback whales can at times be sighted. Wallabies can be seen at sunset in the grassy area above the beach and on the morning beach walk, while friendly rainbow lorikeets love to visit our balcony.
Ventnor has a convenient general store, just 7 minutes’ walk away, two farm cafes & and a winery. The house is close to the famous Penguin Parade and a five-minute drive into the town of Cowes where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops.

Such a great house! Close to the beach, clean and very comfortable. The beds were uber comfy - including the couch where one of my friends slept. There were a few of us so we needed parking and there was plenty of space for our 3 cars. Everything was very tastefully decorated with lovely doona covers and towels. Kitchen was really well equipped and a nice big TV!! We also loved the bbq and eating on the deck which is another great spot to relax. Danielle was great to deal with and everything went smoothly including easy entry/exit to the property.

Best holiday rental we’ve stayed in for years, secure yard for the dog, large shower with good water pressure, and fully equipped kitchen with ample pots/pans/essentials. We will be back for sure.

We had 4 women staying for a quilting weekend, so we really used the house. The beds and couches were super comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms feel like you are in a treehouse in the woods! The kitchen is a cooks kitchen- very well provisioned with sharp knives, a great selection of appropriate sized cooking pots, pans and baking dishes. There are ample plates & cups ( odd that so many properties skimp on this and it’s so annoying having to keep washing up). The house is older and has quaint window screens that makes it feel like an authentic family holiday house, but with brand new furnishings.We loved the wood stove, but also the option for using the split system in the mornings.The porch gets lovely afternoon sunshine- perfect for the wine & cheese course.Whilst we were focused on getting our projects done- the beach was so close we could watch the sky for sunny patches & run down for walks on the dog friendly beach. The beach is less than 5 mins walk away. There is a general store at the end of the street- so once we parked, we didn’t need to drive again.We even had a kookaburra visit us.We will be back!
