Very clean and very private. Location was central to getting to Arcada Park and Bar Harbor and also for visiting farther north. I'd choose this place again without a doubt.

Cabin was clean and comfortable. The weather was chilly as low as 40 at night. The two wall heaters (no furnace) were not enough to warm the cabin until almost 2 days into stay. If the heaters had a fan or blower that may have helped. The cabin does not have AC which we did not need but beware if you rent in summer. The key pad had a 10 digit code and it took us 3-5 times entering the code each time because it kept erroring and needed to start all over. Most places we stay has 4 digit codes which would have been better.

Last year we stayed in the smaller cabin and enjoyed it ,this year the larger home was available so we booked it ...on several occasions vehicles would just randomly drive down to the property and just drive thru and exit some as early as 4 am ,a little concerning when awakened by loud exhaust ..other than that it was a great stay ...Definitely booking again

The reviews said the house was so well appointed that they had everything you could possibly need. We did not find that to be true. Bring your own coffee filters if you want coffee, extra rolls of toilet paper because only three were provided for five people for the week. There’s definitely a bunch of stuff in the kitchen but it looks like it’s just whatever has been left behind by previous guests. For example, if you’re looking to cook, there is no salt, but you can find gummy zinc vitamins in the cabinet. My best advice would be to come with absolutely everything you would need to live with for a week. Also, there is not one mention of the driveway in the listing. We rented a van for this trip and an SUV was necessary. The driveway is so rutted out that we almost couldn’t make it in. We drug in several places, which was terrible because it was not our vehicle After staying for a week, we figured out a pathway to get in and out, but it was definitely a challenge. You should know that it is only air-conditioned downstairs with no window coverings and an open loft upstairs it was extremely hot if you’re not in the master. Between it being hot upstairs and the sun rising over the water directly into this cabin, sleep was a major challenge. There is no insulation between the upstairs and the downstairs so when the people upstairs start walking around, it sounds like they are falling through the floor. As everyone else mentions the place is beautiful but seems unfinished.
