The cottage was in a lovely location, just a short stroll from the Yarra River, and a quick walk over the bridge took us straight into town for cafés and restaurants. The Yarra River walk was also really pleasant.
We really appreciated the little touches on arrival, including the personal note, chocolates and biscuits, as well as having enough milk for our stay. The coffee machine with milk frother and pods was a great addition, and there was also a good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
Although we didn’t cook any meals during our stay, the kitchen seemed very well equipped and had everything you would need, including basics such as olive oil, salt and pepper. The gas log fire made the cottage feel especially cosy, and the view was lovely. We also enjoyed playing Jenga, the selection of games was a surprise treat and the large bathroom had plenty of shelving for toiletries, which was really handy.
The balcony was another highlight, with a lovely outlook and plenty of space to sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine.
The driveway is very steep, which took us a little by surprise. We were glad we had chosen to bring the vehicle we did, as I think my own car may have scraped underneath.
The spa was probably the biggest disappointment for us. The pump is located in the kitchen cupboard and, because the cottage is open plan, it is quite loud when running — almost like having a vacuum cleaner on. It made the spa experience a little less relaxing than we had hoped, so we actually found it more enjoyable to use it simply as a bath.
We are also the type of people who like to tidy up after ourselves during a stay, and it would have been helpful to have access to a broom and mop. We understand that housekeeping and laundry services are available, but it is still nice to be able to quickly clean the floors yourself when needed. We did what we could with the small dustpan and brush provided.
Overall though, these were fairly minor things and we really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent Location! Very clean - great coffee machine, excellent fire, four poster bed was so comfy
We were having a girls weekend - I did t realise how “couples retreat” it was….with the ginormous spa bath taking up half the room …but the facilities (soaps and towels) the very comfortable additional beds. Very thoughtful!
There s no blinds though - so a lot of light is let in during the night and early morning.
But very happy overall

Cudne miejsce, klimatyczne z charakterem. Okolica przepiękna, pomimo deszczowej pogody. Domek bardzo dobrze wyposażony. Polecam wszystkim, którzy będą w tamtych rejonach Australii.

Great location, 5 minute walk into the main town. We travelled with 5 children, it seemed as though the hosts purpose bought some children's games to have on hand.
The stair case leading upsairs is quite steep with a void, balustrades were quite low.
