Pros: • The house is adorable, nearly pristine, unique, and quirky. I loved it. • Pretty fireplaces with decorative candles • Parking available • The interiors look freshly painted. • There is a clock in the den that plays recognizable instrumentals on the hour. • The house has a thoughtful coffee and alcohol bar off the kitchen, with various types of booze, coffee pods, milk, and oat milk. • There are plenty of hooks, and a coat hat rack. The area: • It's in a tourist-friendly, very walkable area with plenty of shops, restaurants and green spaces. • The police and fire department are within walking distance. • A hair and nail salon is across the street for an immediate glow-up. • There’s a smoothie, coffee, and snack bar across the street. Cons: • This is not a good place for veterans to stay. The noise level is well beyond regular truck traffic. You will hear motorcycles backfiring and muscle car engines revving for hours because drag racing is popular at night in Port Jeff. However, if you're into muscle cars, you'll see plenty of cool-looking ones. • I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched, which gave me the heebie-jeebies. This was confirmed when Evolve sent me a photo someone took of me while I was staying here. • I was "reported" for having a service animal, which the spy ignorantly assumed was a pet. • The den has a floor-length window visible from the street with no window shade. Same for the side door. There is definitely a lack of privacy. No matter where you are in the house, you can be seen from outside. • A slat in the picket fence that was lying on the ground when I left the house was suddenly upright when I returned, but there was no mention of a caretaker. • The picket fence is missing a gate.   • The washing machine stinks of mold and needs to be cleaned. • The walk-in closet and master bathroom are adjacent to the kids room (with twin beds) instead of the master bedroom. • The only full-length mirrors in the entire house are wedged into the corners of the kids’ room’s closet. The plastic shelf covers are dirty. • The mattresses are not covered or encased. All that separates the mattress from your skin is a thin, fitted sheet, which is unhygienic for a communal property. • There are no tissues, but there’s an empty, decorative tissue box cover in the downstairs bathroom. • There is dish soap but no hand soap in the kitchen • The toaster oven has seen better days and could use a new tray.
