Location, facilities, pool (though overcrowded), optimally equipped unit. Upon arrival, it takes awhile to make connection with the owner's rep, but after collecting keys from a lockbox, we manage to navigate the inhouse protocols.
I like Axon Residence in all aspects and am a returning guest, but I am hoping the unit owners will address the demerits too.
Extremely poor communicators prior check in, as they're managed at the front end by unskilled Bangladeshi workers. The lobby furniture is horribly decaying from heavy usage. The most annoying part is the insistence of upfront payment by cash. There are many ATMs in Malaysia that do not dispense cash to foreign debit cards, that puts us in a critical position after a tiring journey to get here. If Axon Residence cannot offer a contactless or seamless check in with digital payment options, I might look for other stay options in future.

Excellent location, minutes away by foot to Time square, Jalan Ahor night market, and various other lively areas. Host is very easy to communicate with.
Small hotel sized room, and no kitchen, washer/dryer, not even a mini fridge. Didn't claim to have these but have to read fine print for the unit to find out (bigger units apparently do, so mentioned in general description of the property), and defeats the purpose of renting an apt instead of hotel. Not having even a mini fridge is almost unacceptable. Unreliable wifi (cut out twice in 3 days). 25% service charge (again must read fine print) which makes it more expensive than a nicer hotel. Worst of all, someone put in a fake review (of 10/10) in my stead (who? and how?), which makes me think the reviews are higher than they actually are (one of the reasons I booked here). Booking.com should look into it.
