We couldn't fault Forge cottage. Location was ideal - right in the centre of the village within 1-5 mins walking distance of shops & pubs etc. 10-15 mins walk to beach, bus stop & carpark. Clean and tidy with everything we could need and some lovely extra touches for the doggies, we really appreciated the treats and the towels were very needed as we managed to book in the middle of two storms :). Communication was great, keys easy to retrieve. The actual cottage was even better than expected, my partner is tall and can struggle with houses/cottages, especially in older builds & areas as the ceilings and doorways can be low but we were fine here. There was just us two plus two dogs but you could certainly have 2-4 more people staying without being too tight, there was actually lots of room including a nice big bathroom & shower. I loved being beside the stream as it was so relaxing. It was very wet when we were there but there's an enclosed(as in surrounded by walls to keep dogs safe, not covered) raised exterior area which would be lovely in better weather to sit our and enjoy a drink etc. We will absolutely book to stay here again if there is availability.

Really don't have anything negative to say, I would just say if you have reactive dogs(ours are dachshunds) it can get quite busy with people passing by but we just closed the curtains and were fine. I know it may not be practical but maybe a baby gate for the stairs to keep dogs and kids up/down.

Really lovely cottage, very clean and had everything we needed for a very relaxing and comfortable week. Owners have been so lovely and the cottage is in a perfect spot so had everything within a short walking distance Lovely pubs, bakery, harbour. Can’t wait to return.

Beautifully decorated and extremely clean and comfortable. A perfect home from home . The stream running at the side was just bliss.

Nothing to dislike.
