The location is very close to the center of town. The owner is very attentive with his communication which helps greatly when you have issues. It was good value for money and the general amenities inside the room are good, overall it's just an odd experience in a lot of ways. The owner is trying hard but the apartment is lacking a few things especially in the description.
The map location is not clear. The address shows an empty shop. The entrance is actually off the side street and it's at the rear of the building. I can't help but feel a picture of the actual entrance would help. On finding the door getting the key was easy enough. The lock on the room is very unusual. You punch in the code then turn the code mechanism to open the door. This was unusual to me and took a few goes to get used to it. Again I think better instructions would help.
The room is nice enough. They have done it up. It has a good shower and a comfortable bed. The biggest issue for me is that the bathroom is down the hall and is not locked from the outside. Anyone can use it. So in the middle of the night this is not great. You need to unlock your room. Lock it with the mechanism. Then go to the bathroom. Then come back and unlock your door. I'm the middle of the night this is very awkward.
The weather was very hot. There was no AC, I expected that. But a fan would have been greatly appreciated.
This brings me to the parking. It's listed as street parking available. This isn't completely correct. They have a private parking area at the rear for about 8 cars. Mine didn't fit. The parking in front of the shop is pay and display. So that doesn't work. I spent a little time assessing the streets close by to find one I could park in with no issues again I think clear instruction would help here a lot.
Overall my room was good. Parking tricky. Instructions not available. And the room was too hot with no fan. I only stayed one night so my issues were over fast. A lot of these issues can be resolved by the landlord easily. The bathroom though will never be fixed. To have a nice shower in your room but no toilet was very very odd.
