An amazing historic property that has been preserved and tastefully furnished with lovely appropriate fixtures. It has its own chapel which you can enter and admire. The grounds are delightful and well maintained.
The rooms are very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. There is a sitting room available.
There is secure storage for bikes. On arrival we were given a 1 litre bottle of artisan apple juice to enjoy in the hot afternoon in the garden under shade.
That brings me to the breakfast. I have never seen such a vast and comprehensive breakfast in a Chambres d’Hote. Fresh fruit, breads, croissants, butter, jams, 6 kinds of cheese, crème fraiche, ham, smoked bacon. I am sure I have forgotten some.
The host, Sidonie, is lovely and helpful. There may be a better Chambre d’Hote, but I haven’t seen it.
