This accommodation is completely unacceptable and does not remotely correspond to the listing or its 9.3 rating.
The building and surroundings are severely neglected: nearly one-metre-high weeds, rubbish, wooden boards, rusty cars blocking the garage, unpainted walls, dirty stairs, clothes hanging from balconies and personal belongings stored in common areas. The overall appearance is extremely run-down and gives the impression of an abandoned property.
Inside, there is a strong smell of dampness and confinement, and the photographs clearly do not reflect the actual condition.
We did not stay at the property and had to leave immediately. As no alternative accommodation was available at the time, we had to pay for one night at another property at peak-season rates.
I have made more than 50 Booking.com reservations over the past six years and have never experienced such a discrepancy between a listing and reality.
We submitted a complaint 48 hours ago and have received no response, while the owner continues to defend these conditions.
This is not a matter of personal preference, but a clear and serious discrepancy between what was advertised and what we found upon arrival. We weren't expecting a five-star property, but for the price we paid, we expected a reasonably clean and habitable place. (Red arrow is the main entrance area.
