A perfect place to stay if you're planning to walk the Jirisan Dulle-gil Trail. The surrounding scenery offers some of the most beautiful views in South Korea. Everything about my stay was wonderful, and it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Seoul.
You can tell that the owner has traveled extensively, as there is a thoughtful touch in every detail of the accommodation. What impressed me most was the chance to experience a traditional Korean ondol heating system, where you actually heat the room yourself by tending a wood fire.
That experience alone made the stay incredibly special. Sitting in a warm room heated by a fire I had made myself gave me a sense of Korea that I had rarely experienced on any other trip. It was simple, authentic, and truly memorable.
