Disappointing due to damaged fitting, cluttered boiler access, and constantly chirping smoke alarm.

Well presented property with a back garden. Comfy beds and everything you need.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay. We encountered safety and maintenance issues during our stay. The light switch in the bedroom intended for our 5-year-old was damaged, with visible wiring behind it, meaning we could not safely use the room as intended. My partner was also injured while accessing the garage to investigate the boiler/no hot water. The garage was cluttered and there was sticky black/oily patches on the floor. Her shoe stuck to one, causing her to lose balance and sustain a significant scratch and bruise to her arm. Finally, the kitchen smoke alarm intermittently chirped throughout the stay and woke the entire family at 5am following a long distance journey. To the host’s credit, they responded politely when we reported issues, but they were not addressed during our stay. These were significant issues to encounter during a short stay, particularly with a young child, and the overall experience was disappointing.
