Very disappointing stay that did not match the listing or our expectations.
Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The listing does not show the exterior of the building or its surroundings at all. We only saw the actual location after contacting the host to collect the keys and receiving the address and instructions. The reality was completely different from what the listing suggested. The building is very old, dormitory-style, and the common areas are worn out and poorly maintained. There was a large amount of litter around the building, making the whole area look neglected.
The location is also not great, as it is quite far from the beach. Another major downside is that the apartment windows face the street, so there is constant traffic and street noise.
In the evenings, there were visibly intoxicated residents outside the building who were shouting loudly and causing disturbances. This made us feel very uncomfortable returning to the apartment at night and it was difficult to relax.
The internet was provided through a mobile modem with a SIM card, but the connection was extremely slow. There was also an unpleasant smell coming from the wardrobe. Although the apartment has a washing machine, no laundry detergent was provided.
Parking was another major issue. After 5:00 PM it was almost impossible to find a parking space in the courtyard, so we had to leave our car in the shopping centre parking lot.
If you are travelling with a pet, be aware that there is an additional charge of €11 per night.
Communication with the host was also disappointing. Even before our stay had ended, we received a message reminding us to leave the apartment on time and instructing us to clean the apartment, wash the dishes, take out the rubbish, and complete other cleaning tasks before checking out. We did not find this approach particularly welcoming.
The photos in the listing create a much better impression than the reality.
