The location was ideal for walking around in Southampton.
Easier communication with host. I booked through Booking.com so evidently ALL communication flowed through that agency. It was wildly inconvenient and I was never actually able to make contact with the host/proprietor.
There is no lift. I cannot stress that this was a huge inconvenience for my elderly mother. I wanted to change rooms and would have paid practically any amount to do so, but we NEVER heard back from the property during the entirety of our stay. The hotel is charming, but we were in the uppermost room accessed by a maze of steep, narrow stairs - it was grueling. Once we got my mom settled, she didn't leave for the rest of the stay.

Good location
Poor communication regarding access code.
Low water pressure barely enough to shower.
Couldn't find hair dryer.
