Overall, while the apartment was initially presentable and adequately equipped.
The apartment was well presented on arrival, with clean carpeting throughout. We respected the request to remove shoes and left all footwear near the entrance. Although compact, the apartment was just large enough for a family of four, comprising two adults and two children under 12. The two double beds were comfortable and warm, and most essential utensils and amenities were provided, including a pod coffee machine.
Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. The bedroom television received only a limited number of channels and frequently pixelated. The main television provided Netflix but no live television channels, including no internet-based live services. The kitchen and bathroom taps were also difficult and unpleasant to use.
The most serious issue was a persistent ceiling leak in the bathroom beside the toilet. Water regularly dripped onto anyone using the area and accumulated across the floor in front of the basin before flowing towards the floor drain. The attached photographs clearly show the wet floor and the location of the ceiling access panel above the bathroom.
We notified the booking management within an hour of arriving; however, no action was taken during our entire three-night stay. This created a genuine slipping hazard, particularly for children using the bathroom at night. The constant dripping was also disruptive, as the bathroom was located beside the main bedroom.
Lighting throughout the apartment was okay, except in the kitchen. The building itself appeared poorly insulated, with single-glazed windows allowing Canberra’s winter cold to enter the apartment. Common areas were also poorly maintained, with missing ceiling panels in the corridors. The advertised spa had been removed and the area boarded over. Moreover, having only one key was also frustrating.
