Alya Residence is a very good accommodation to stay not far away from Carthage ruins and Sidi Bou Said, but a little far away in terms of car or taxi to the center of Tunis or Bardo Museum.
Saloua, the owner, was pending of our arrival to receive us, to explain everything and also good advice (for example using the InDrive app for requesting a taxi). It has space for two cars, but in the space in front of the residential area you can park without problems of safety.
Room has a lot of space, and it is pretty well equipped. There is a small cabinet with a fridge to put food or beverages, and a tab. Air condition works without problem.
The swimming pool is very nice opportunity to relax from high temperatures, and the common spaces - living room and play room are very comfortable, nice and well furnished.
The area is really very peaceful, not close to the road, and with few houses, some hotels and the Spanish consulate. it is true that sometimes at night you hear some noise, not too loud, coming from nearby hotels.
Momo is the employee that takes care of everything and help the visitors - thanks a lot to him and his wife - it is true that mutual understanding in idiomatic terms was not always easy ;)
As a minor comment compared to the high general quality: The bathroom is a little bit small and rather dark at night - also, some lamps were not working, and the shower has no element of separation, so you can splash some water.
The common kitchen is very wide and modern, but is has a small problem: there were almost no cutlery or glasses - or at least we were not able to find them, even I believe we opened all the drawers we saw ;).
Both things are minor issues, again: it is an excellent accommodation and Saloua and Momo were very kind and helpful.
