We felt lucky we were able to book this place for a longer stay; we are a family of 5 and this place offers generous amount of space for a great price. We loved being able to stay in a (updated) traditional home. While it is a half-mile walk to the main parts of town, this was worth it to us to have a larger place at a better price. It is only 5 min walk to the river, which our kids loved. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and we were able to cook most nights. The washer and dryer were also appreciated. When we did have questions, Ishihara San was incredibly quick and responsive, and very patient with our poor (non-existent) Japanese. He was a wonderful host and we would love to stay here again some day.
It was fine for us, but be aware the stairs are on the steep side (old house) and the fridge is quite small for a longer stay.
