Santosh and Bandana were incredibly thoughtful and generous hosts. They checked on me frequently, and provided lots of helpful information before I even arrived. I was visiting during a heat wave, and although this house (like the vast majority of homes in the UK) did not have air conditioning, they provided a fan, and were even kind enough to move me to a different room in the house that had better air flow. They often offered for me to join them and try their home cooked food, which was consistently delicious! The house is directly across from a Tesco, so it’s easy to walk over for groceries or any little things you might need. It’s also easy walking distance to a bus stop. Since I was staying for a couple weeks, it was also very nice of them to allow me use of their washing machine. A couple things which might be helpful for future visitors: I would suggest bringing your own towel. Also, the bathroom area is really more set up for baths, so if you are a ‘shower person,’ just be aware that you’ll need to hold the shower hand piece since it’s not mounted to the wall. Not an issue at all, but just takes a little getting used to especially if you have to wash long hair. ;)
