Great. Location perfect

3 / 10

A convenient location ruined by an ant infestation and poor complaint handling.

The only positive aspect was the location, which was convenient for our travel plans. Other than that, there was nothing I particularly liked about our stay.

We experienced a serious ant infestation throughout the property during our stay, not just in the bedroom but also in the kitchen. On the day we collected the keys, a member of staff told us there were ants outside the property but reassured us that there were none inside. Unfortunately, that was not true. We found ants throughout the accommodation, and I have sent photos to the hotel showing the condition. Although the hotel eventually provided a white ant powder a few days later, I have never stayed in accommodation where guests were expected to live with an ant infestation or rely on ant powder as the solution. This significantly affected our stay. What was even more disappointing was how our complaint was handled. We were not asking for a full refund. We simply requested a fair and reasonable amount of compensation for the inconvenience we experienced. For almost two weeks, we repeatedly followed up with the hotel. We were consistently told that management was reviewing our case as a priority, yet no decision was ever provided. We even extended our stay by one additional night due to our travel plans, giving the hotel extra time to deal with the matter. We are checking out today, and despite all of this, we still have not received a decision. Problems can happen at any property, but what matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, the repeated delays, and the failure to provide a resolution before our departure have been just as disappointing as the ant infestation itself.
