Unreachable host & broken shower drain, terrible stay | Great sea view & location

On the bright side, the location is fantastic with a lovely sea view.

We booked this sea-view studio for 2 nights. During our Europe trip, Booking’s technical issue prevented me from replying via app chat for two bookings. I contacted Booking support repeatedly to reach the hosts. While the other host responded quickly on WhatsApp, this host was completely unreachable by phone and email several times. The self check-in email had no emergency contact. Upon arrival, we found the shower drain broken and water would not drain. We tried every channel to contact the host for repairs, but no one answered. We could not shower properly for the whole stay. Booking support could only suggest filing a formal complaint, unable to fix the issue on site. We never spoke to the host even at check-out; only automated emails were received. The bed is a sofa bed, extremely soft. It won’t suit guests who prefer firmer mattresses. The cleaning fee is also quite expensive. At check-out, we took out all rubbish and cleaned the kitchen ourselves despite the poor experience. Not recommended due to the lack of emergency support.
