About this apartment rental
A four-hundred-year-old classic thatched Suffolk barn drenched in natural light in the heart of secluded countryside within easy reach of the beautiful coastal towns of Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh. The original barn from 1635 creates a magnificent central hall living space with views of the surrounding private farm through vast glazed windows and boasts an immaculate three-quartered sized snooker table. With an abundance of oak flooring and historic original beams, the barn exudes timeless Suffolk charm to switch off and unwind in. At either end are Victorian brick extensions with a modern kitchen, two shower rooms and two double bedrooms. With an indulgence of space and tranquillity, and fantastic access to the best of Suffolk, the barn makes for a wonderful rural escape.
GROUND FLOOR
Kitchen – Dining table with matching seating for six, full sized fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, tumble dryer, four slice toaster, kettle, Tassimo pod coffee machine, electric oven with four hobs and access to the garden. There is a washing machine off the Wood View Bedroom.
Shower-room & Lavatory – Metro tiled with a lavatory, electric walk-in shower and hand-basin.
Main Barn Living Room – Three four-seater traditional sofas centred about a coffee table adjacent to a Smart TV. Behind well stocked bookcases is a three-quarter sized snooker table with overhead lighting, at the other end is a digital weighted-key piano.
Wood View Bedroom – Double bed with matching bedside tables and reading lamps, leather reclining reading chair, chest of drawers, TV (Freeview only) and glass door with direct access to the garden.
Ensuite Shower-room – Lavatory, walk-in electric shower and hand basin.
FIRST FLOOR
Pond View Bedroom – Double bed with bedside tables and reading lamps, double sofa bed (can be made up on request), wardrobe, and glass writing table overlooking the pond.
Staircase – On the steeper side so not recommended for those with restricted mobility.
OUTSIDE
Parking Area – to the north of the barn is ample parking for two or three cars.
Garden – To the south is a large lawned area with an outdoor table and seating for four. There is no BBQ and they are not allowed due the proximity of the thatched roof.
