On the small grassy hill at Hejlsminde is a house with a fantastic view. Here you and your family can find peace in the natural surroundings and create magical memories. You'll quickly realize that this house is full of soul when you feel the love that has gone into the details of the interior design. There are cozy nooks and soft corners so that everyone in the family can find their favorite spot.
In the living room, the stunning views embrace you all around. You can curl up on the sofa and gaze out over the water, whether it's in the daytime when the seagulls soar overhead, or when it's dark and the stars are out. Even when you're in the kitchen, the view will grab your attention. In the low, red evening sun, you can play a board game around the dining table or enjoy the silence with a book in the armchair.
Step outside onto the large wooden terrace and there are several great places to sit down. You can relax in the shade on the covered part of the terrace in the cushions of the sofa or in a soft leather. You can also roast a whole chicken on the Weber grill and sit at the table at the far end of the terrace where you might catch the sound of waves lapping in the breeze. The terrace can also be enjoyed as darkness falls. Light the candles and let yourself be enveloped in a safe, warm glow.
In the house you'll find a variety of fishing gear to take down to the beach. Make yourself some sandwiches and spend a day around your own jetty. Jump in the water or soak up the sun while the kids fish for crabs. You can also go for a walk and stop by Hejlsminde Harbor for old-fashioned ice cream cones. From Hejlsminde it's not far to Christiansfeld, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the iconic yellow brick houses in the cobbled streets, or visit Honningkagebageriet and get a real gingerbread bomb.
