It is right by the sea, with low tide you can walk as far as you like and even walk to the Salaam Turtle cave. With high tide you can enjoy a really nice swim in the ocean! Nice pool to cool off in when you dont want to swim in the ocean. Lots of places/benches to relax and look at the beautiful view. Rooms are neat and even has a kettle and complimentary tea, coffee sachets, and drinking water. Breakfast was amazing and more than enough.
The menu is quite pricy and you dont get a lot for the price you pay.
The toilet is out in the open which is really nice and airy but it rained while we were there and then you either have to hold it in or get soaked while sitting on the toilet. Would help to have maybe one umbrella in the room/bathroom.

Soggiornare al Tunu Beach non è un’esperienza che dimenticherete facilmente.
La struttura è gestita da una squadra di giovani locali che vi suggeriranno le migliori guide e vi coccoleranno proponendovi nel menu il meglio che la natura dell’isola possa offrire.
Un plauso speciale va al manager, Mo, geniale e simpaticissimo.
Lo chef è il migliore che abbiamo trovato girando Zanzibar in svariate zone. La location letteralmente sul mare (ed un tratto di costa fra i più interessanti di Zanzibar) fa invidia ai resort più blasonati.
Una vera perla nascosta, custodita gelosamente dalla gente del posto.
Trovandosi circondati da folta vegetazione, i bungalow andrebbero migliorati almeno per quanto riguarda porte e finestre per evitare ingressi notturni di insetti vari. Le zanzariere vi proteggeranno comunque dalle zanzare.
Alcune pietanze del menu erano quasi sempre indisponibili, ma quello che viene servito non vi farà rimpiangere nulla.

Dit resort voelde als thuiskomen ondanks dat ik er nog nooit eerder geweest was. Het personeel is uitermate vriendelijk en de locatie onwerkelijk mooi. Het resort is kleinschalig en pas net geopend. het voelt heel exclusief terwijl het heel betaalbaar is. Dit resort zou voor mij de reden zijn om terug te keren naar Zanzibar. Vanuit het resort kun je ook hele mooie uitstapjes maken zoals schildpadden voeren in de salam cave of maua cave en per bootje naar prachtige snorkellocaties. We hebben dolfijnen, prachtige zeesterren en tropische vissen gezien.
Je bent voornamelijk op het resort aangewezen voor je eten. Je loopt niet even snel naar een dorpje, daar heb je altijd een taxi voor nodig. Het dorpje zelf heeft alleen kleine eetstalletjes waar locals eten.
