Podere Sofia is a welcoming retreat nestled in a peaceful valley near Gaiole in Chianti, surrounded by gentle hills and the Tuscan countryside. It's perfect for couples who want to experience the authentic atmosphere and relaxed pace of rural Tuscany.
The apartment, all on one level, retains its rustic charm with exposed stone walls and elegant finishes. It features a fully equipped kitchen, living room with dining area, a king-size bedroom, and a modern bathroom with travertine marble and a spacious shower, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. Amenities include Wi-Fi suitable for video calls, smart TV, pellet stove, washing machine, crib, and high chair.
The apartment opens onto a shaded terrace surrounded by shrubs, ideal for outdoor dining and relaxing. The private hot tub is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The hot tub is not always operational: please ask the owners before booking. From September, hot tub water heating is available for an extra fee upon request to the owners. The garden, bordered by olive trees, enhances the Tuscan atmosphere; a covered parking space is available.
Gaiole in Chianti is just a few minutes' drive away, offering supermarkets and bakeries. Radda in Chianti is less than 15 minutes away, with restaurants, wine bars, and shops. Siena, San Gimignano, and Florence are easily reachable for day trips. The villa is also close to a cycling path for exploring Chianti by bike. Access is via a single downhill dirt road: please drive slowly.
Only small dogs are allowed (no large dogs). Smoking is permitted. The apartment is part of a historic farmhouse where the owners live upstairs and are available for assistance and local tips. Three well-behaved dogs also live on the property.
