Our problems began the moment we arrived. When we reached the property, no one was there to greet us. We waited for over 30 minutes at the empty reception area and kept calling the provided contact number, but no one answered. We were sent back and forth between two properties, as the same owners manage both Luxor Apartments (where we are staying) and the adjacent Sorento Apartments, yet no one received us. After more than 30 minutes of waiting, walking around, and calling, the owner finally answered and instructed us on how to retrieve the keys ourselves.
Upon entering the apartment, we found the bed unmade and only partially prepared. The water heater was turned off, leaving us without hot water for a shower after traveling for over 10 hours. Furthermore, the shower cabin doors do not open properly, forcing us to squeeze in sideways just to get in and take a shower, making entering and exiting the cabin a major issue.
On the second day, a light bulb burned out, and we were left in the dark for the next three days because no one came to replace it. After three days, someone arrived unannounced and spent over 45 minutes replacing the bulb and eventually the entire ceiling light fixture. The man repeatedly insisted that he was not an electrician and left fully exposed wires in the bathroom, an environment frequently filled with steam. We were honestly afraid to turn on that light as I am unsure if we are safe from electrical shock. While changing the light fixture, he cut himself and left blood on the mirror and tiles, which we had to clean up ourselves, something I consider absolute neglige.
We also had issues with the arrogant apartment owners, who treated us like second-class citizens simply because we are renting, and made noise late into the night so we couldn't sleep. They also let their 13–14 years old children stay awake until 5:00 AM, allowing them to run around the yard and the building, screaming.
