Drift Sands Unit 108 — Cosy, Peaceful Stay with Beautiful Views
We had a lovely 3-night stay at Unit 108 at Drift Sands. The apartment is cosy, peaceful and conveniently located, with amenities such as Spar and the beach just a short distance away.
One of the highlights was the beautiful balcony and views. It was the perfect spot to sit back and relax while watching the sunrise and sunset, and we were even lucky enough to see whales from the balcony. 🐋🌅
The complex itself is quiet and the people are friendly, which made it easy to switch off, relax and enjoy our time away.
There are, however, a few things that prevented us from giving a full 5-star review:
- 🚿 Guest shower: The shower drain seems to be partially clogged, so the water doesn't drain properly and makes it difficult to have a proper shower. On the positive side, the shower has excellent hot water and very good pressure.
- 🛏️ Mattresses: The beds could possibly benefit from an upgrade, perhaps to pillow-top mattresses. You can feel the coils through the mattress, and unfortunately, for the first few nights we struggled to sleep comfortably and ended up sleeping on the couch.
- 🚗 Parking for Unit 108: The parking space is quite tricky, especially with a larger or lower vehicle. When turning at the bottom near Unit 107, there is a hump that can cause a low vehicle to scrape, so guests need to take it very slowly and carefully.
Apart from these issues, we genuinely had a peaceful and enjoyable stay. With a little attention to the shower, mattresses and parking area, this place could easily become a 5-star stay.

I loved how cosy it is, the 2 bathrooms worked out perfect, the balcony and our very own weber to braai on, nice experience and our own privacy. I loved how close the beach is, how close shopping places were too, getting in to our place was easy too,the place is clean tv and Netflix was a plus so no boredom when we sat together, kitchen fully equipped,our host was ever ready to help, we even needed a new ironing board, and almost str8 away 1 was purchased thank you so much driftsands 108❤️
The only thing we didn't like, the master bedroom bed is like not comfortable at all, please consider changing it.
