The location was very convenient. The apartment is close to the beach, shops and the centre of Bandol, so it was easy to get around without a car.
The apartment was not very comfortable for a family of four. There is no bath, and the shower is extremely small, roughly 1m × 1m. The spiral staircase to the second floor felt low quality and unsafe, especially with children.
The biggest issue was the air conditioning. It was too weak to cool the second floor, which became extremely hot during 30°C+ weather. We were then contacted by the host because neighbours were apparently disturbed by the noise from the air conditioner and were asked to limit its use. I found this very frustrating: the apartment has a weak and noisy air conditioner that cannot properly cool the sleeping area, but guests are still expected to restrict its use during very hot weather.
The overall layout is also inconvenient for a family of four. For us, it was essentially a place to sleep and leave again rather than somewhere comfortable to spend time. Some electrical sockets also did not work.
