The worst home stay experience of my life!
Nothing.
This place is a hell hole. Not exaggerating. It is. Firstly, it’s surrounded by every kind of drilling, digging and pounding noise you can experience in one life time. But I get it, Bombay, everything is being dug up and drilled at the same time, if you want to let it slide, you could. So, I enter the apartment, I open my drawer and I find a women’s bra in it. Not the first time I’ve seen a woman’s bra, so, that doesn’t alarm me, but what does is when I call up the host/owner about it, I’m told, why are you freaking out,
It’s just a bra, someone must’ve left it behind, it happens. Just don’t open the drawer anymore!! Hmmm! Don’t open the drawer?? Aren’t you suppose to keep the place clean for the next guest when they arrive. I let that slide too, because you know we’re Indians and are expected to accept substandard service with gratitude. But I did get the feeling that it’s all down hill from here. I wake up in the morning, and there’s no water!!! I have a meeting, and there isn’t a way to freshen up. I call the host Sunita / Bharti and I’m told to speak to a care taker who will guide to me another location for a shower because the tank is not working, but it’s been fixed and I wouldn’t face any problem anymore. I tell myself no time to argue, head to another location with my towel and toiletries, freshen up and leave. I spend an entire day at work , I come back at 9 pm and again there’s no water. That’s when I lost it. I call up the host and owner again and then I’m bounced around between the care taker Ashok and the owner. I’m told the water was there at 5 pm, but somehow at 9 pm it has magically vanished. I eventually gave up and went to a near by restaurant to poop and freshen up. I checked out the same night. Bharti the owner, shamelessly merely refunded half the amount of my payment, where my suggestion to her would be keep the other half, you need it! so you can fix your place and make it liveable.
