Paolo is a very warm and welcoming host, and the entire house has such a lovely and homely atmosphere. The property is located in a very quiet and peaceful area. Although it takes around an hour to drive to Taormina, we really didn’t mind, as we enjoyed spending three relaxing days in such a quiet and safe place.
We chose to cook at home during our stay, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped, with almost every kind of cooking utensil we could need. At the back of the apartment, there is also a beautiful old-style Italian kitchen, which I absolutely loved.
There are many cats in the garden, and they are all very polite and adorable! I really enjoyed having them around.
If we come back to Sicily in the future, we would definitely love to have the chance to stay at Paolo’s place again.
There are just a few small things that could make the stay even more comfortable. The bed was a little firm for us, and the pillows were quite low. The kitchen does not have an extractor hood, which is perfectly fine for light cooking, but if you plan to do some heavier cooking, you may need to keep the doors or windows open for ventilation.
The swimming pool is lovely, although personally I would have enjoyed it even more if the water had been heated. This is mainly because I am not a big fan of cold water! In summer the temperature is still manageable, although jumping in for the first time does require a little courage.

Modern und ruhig gelegen. Sehr freundliche Betreuung während des Aufenthaltes. Super ausgestattete Küche. Wir haben Catania, Taormina und Syrakus von der Unterkunft aus besucht. Ebenso den Ätna.
Man benötigt ein Auto.
