The shower was a surprise, very nice with plenty of hot water. The garden area outside, with the Hostas, and solar lighting around the facilities, was a nice touch. If we would have had time, the canoe and boat access would have been nice to explore the lake. Lovely bull frogs croaking while going to sleep, and waking up to Canada Geese taking off in droves and raising a ruckus with their honking were both a wilderness treat. This is a very remote, rustic place to stay but a gem and economical if you are up for the camping.
The description needs to clearly describe how remote this small shack is. Very small 2 person max room. You need to be able to find and operate the generator, which worked only intermittently for us. Outhouse less than desirable. Very steep driveway (nothing with the address #16310 on it, the neighbor driveway #16300 is it) on a blind curve in the road, and not drivable in some cars. Glad we had a Subaru! Walking down is treacherous to say the least. Arrive during the day; would be super difficult to figure it out and find everything in the dark.

Although there was some nominal breakfast nothing that really worked. If you had time to canoe or kayak on the pond it might have been more fun. I think any user here would have to look at it as a bare step above camping with a decent bed.
Ok, really, this was extremely disappointing: after booked I was sent instructions about how to use the generator. The video link was actually old and there was no generator where specified - a different generator in a different location. Fortunately I have owned generators... other guests might not feel secure enough to find where the other one was and start it up (needed to make the heater work). No idea if the generator had enough gas to power the heater all night. The outhouse bathroom not specified and really pretty primitive... find for camping but not what I expected. There was a sink with water ala a portable potty, but no idea if the water was clean enough to use. Bathroom 60' from unit over dirt walk - not gonna appeal to a lot of people. Decent bed although the unit is very small and a bit cramped. Needing instructions on running the shower unappealing and it was tiny. Pulling out to head south on the road from parking area pretty darn dangerous - a hill with no visibility and typical fast-driving rural traffic.
