Lovely setting of the holiday park, right on the beach.
The park had not received my details from the owner when I arrived, despite them being sent to her by email on 8 September, so I was unable to use the club house or swimming pool, until the second afternoon of my 3 night stay, when she finally sent them through, after ringing her and emailing them 3 times- she had been busy, was the excuse!
The cabin is in quite a poor state of decor and the settee is very saggy and uncomfortable. Flooring is split and spongy underfoot, so doesn't feel very safe. Wish I'd taken my slippers to wear! Could do with a foot stool or pouffe to be able to put your feet up off the floor as quite a draught comes in from the patio doors, if its windy, actually moves the curtains.
Toilet cistern constantly flushes unless you take the lid off completely, then it still fills up about every hour throughout the night. I didn't bother reporting this due to the problems I had at first, but emailed the owner and booking.com, who I booked with, so they are aware.
No gate on the small terrace at the front of the cabin, so couldn't let the dog out unless he was with me and on a lead. Looks like there used to be one, as side fixings are still there.
No curtain or blind on one window by the TV, so a bit creepy once its dark outside.
One drawer in the kitchen, labelled awaiting repair.
PAT testing labels show all electrical appliances, that I looked at, is out of date- was due March 2026.
Suggest she supplies a folder with some useful details about the site, opening/closing times of facilities, shop, pool, food outlets etc. the WiFi password (this was scribbled on a bit of an envelope and left in the kitchen, before being emailed to me on the 2nd day of my stay) how to use the fire, details of all the recycling of rubbish on site, local attractions and information.
