We had a very pleasant stay at Assana & Merissa. The apartment itself was fabulous—modern, spacious, exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained, with a view that was simply outstanding.
The infinity swimming pool is beautiful, and the gym and children's pool/facilities were excellent for families travelling with children.
Guests should also be aware that the property is still under construction, and there is another construction project on the neighbouring plot. Consequently, drilling and construction noise starts from the morning, which can be disruptive.
That said, the staff were wonderful. In particular, the two ladies at reception—one working in the morning and the other at night—were extraordinarily helpful, courteous and accommodating throughout our stay. They genuinely went out of their way to assist us, and their attitude made a big difference to our experience.
The management also kindly allowed us a late check-out, which we really appreciated and made our departure considerably more comfortable.
Overall, the apartment, cleanliness, views, infinity pool and family facilities are excellent. Once the construction around the property is completed and the AC issues are fully resolved, I believe this could be an outstanding place to stay in Langkawi.
Special thanks to the two reception ladies for their exceptional hospitality and assistance. Their service deserves particular recognition. And also the Manager Mr. Thomas.
Check-in was a little unusual due to a glitch with Booking.com, although this was eventually resolved.
One issue we experienced was with the air conditioning. Two of the three rooms had AC malfunctions. The problem was addressed and fixed the following day, but unfortunately the AC malfunctioned again afterwards, which was inconvenient, particularly when travelling with a young child.
The maintenance staff leaves at 6pm therfore any thing that goes wrong after that can wait till morning.
