We absolutely loved our stay at Volgenoeg Cottage 1 and only wished we could have stayed longer!
From the moment we arrived, everything was effortless. Mariska welcomed us with such kindness and care and we immediately felt at home.
The cottage is beautiful, exceptionally neat, clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms are welcoming with crisp, fresh linen and ceiling fans to keep them comfortable on warmer evenings. The spacious bathroom has a large shower and soft, fluffy towels, while the air conditioning in the open plan living and kitchen area makes the cottage wonderfully comfortable on those warm Klein Karoo days.
The splash pool is such a great addition and the perfect place to cool off and relax. We also really enjoyed the braai area. It is comfortable and inviting and creates exactly the kind of relaxed atmosphere you want when getting away for a few days.
The location was another highlight for us. Volgenoeg Cottage 1 is only about a 10 minute drive from Oudtshoorn, making it easy to explore the town and surrounding attractions, but it is just far enough outside the hustle and bustle to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Klein Karoo.
Our stay was simply too short. It is a wonderful place to slow down, relax and spend quality time together while still having everything you need close by.
We would happily return and wholeheartedly recommend Volgenoeg Cottage 1 to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and peaceful getaway near Oudtshoorn.
A beautiful little Klein Karoo escape that we would definitely visit again.
