Clean and cosy flat

Absolutely terrible experience and management - AVOID at all costs!

Nice bath (minus the hairs, unsafe window and incorrect taps), comfy bed (minus the hairs), nice kitchen (minus the lack of pots), nice blinds in the bedroom, nice TV (minus low battery remote), nice garden, nice location (minus lack of parking, £85 parking and 30 minute walk in the sun). Any nice element was ruined by poor management.

The property manager (Ellie) was largely uncontactable and when she did it was unhelpful, rude, unprofessional and vague. Despite various messages to Ellie via the app, text and Whatsapp, I arrived in Brighton with no check in details. At 2pm, I finally rang Ellie to request the check in details for 3pm and she sent them 30 minutes later. I had to pay £85 in parking and walk 30 minutes across town in the hot sun with my suitcase because Ellie ignored my messages to allow me to book the coveted "14 per day 'on site' parking". To be clear, the "on site" parking does not exist, it is a permit for street parking which is first come first served, not a car park or driveway. When confronted about the issues, Ellie gave an avalanche of excuses: its the owners fault (so unprofessional to talk bad about the owners to the client!), its the cleaners fault, its the dry cleaners fault, it was even MY fault at one point! The excuses for her lack of responses were, bad reception, problem with email, booking.com app malfunctioning, and personal appointments distracting her. The property: I woke up to a construction worker drilling into the brickwork of the building at 8.30am and a strange man at my door hanging around in the walkway - terrifying. Multiple black long hairs in the bed and shower (I fully suspect that the sheets were not changed). Moldy pillow cases. Icky half filled or empty shower gel bottles. No hand towels. No bath mat. No welcome instructions or Wifi info. No pots and pans so kitchen is useless. Hot and cold taps are reversed. Tv remote needs new batteries. After the excuses and gaslighting, Ellie brought me a new bath mat, hand towels and shower gel and offered a 20% refund. I asked for 50% and she ignored me for the next two days. Finally, she said she would send the money, 3 days on, I have had no refund. The owners need to know about the poor service that Ellie is providing, feel free to contact me for evidence.
