The owner left a small supply of food and drink to allow me to have my first breakfast before having to go shopping. She also messaged me beforehand to give details of access to the apartment, and arranged to meet me in person on arrival to give a guided tour and to answer any questions.
The apartment is a lovely combination of modern amenities , stylish decoration, and the period charm of an italian old-town apartment that is both cosy and clean. It is fully furnished and equipped with a very generous amount of space:- Entrance lobby, lounge, fully equipped kitchen/diner, 2 bedrooms , and a fully modernised bathroom. It is excellently situated for access to the Piazza Grande , Il Duomo, and of course the many restaurants and gelateria a 2 minute walk away.
This is not an apartment suitable for less-able individuals as it is on the second floor of a town house. There are 40 steps to climb , with landings or spacious returns every 10 steps. However I was aware of this at time of booking, so it was not an issue for me.
