Nika is a great host! His house has an interesting story starting from his grand grand father, who started this wine production and business. The place as it has a huuuge potential! But currently needs some improvements. Anyway I was super happy to stay there!
It was hot inside before 1am, the bed was short for me (I'm tall), and the water pressure in the shower wasn't good

I loved my stay at this extraordinary Marani — not a typical guesthouse but a living wine cellar and family home. The winemaker is a fifth‑generation natural winemaker who still follows long‑rooted family traditions, fermenting in century‑old qvevri; his wines are authentic, soulful, and unforgettable. His wife, Nina, is a professional chef who prepares outstanding dishes from local organic ingredients. Together their food, wine, and hospitality create a truly immersive experience for lovers of natural wine and regional cuisine.
What makes the place especially memorable is that you stay in their ancestral house, where the family lives. Be sure to book lunch or dinner in advance so you can dine with them and enjoy lively, interesting conversations in the dining room or on the balcony overlooking the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus mountains. Highly recommended — an intimate, heartfelt stay that feels like being welcomed into a Georgian family and their centuries of winemaking.
