I stayed in the Castello apartment for a long weekend with my husband and our toddler and we had a lovely time. The location was excellent, very central but on a quite street away from the noise and bustle. It was just a few minutes walk to the nearest metro and about 10 mins walk to the Duomo, the Last Supper, and the Castle.
The apartment was on the first floor and there was a lift up so we found it easy to manage with our luggage and stroller. The layout was great, with the lounge, dining room and kitchen facing an inner courtyard and the two bedrooms facing a quite street opposite. There was a large outdoor private terrace looking out to the inner courtyard, which was a lovely place for meals and was safe for our little one to explore.
The apartment was very clean and nicely furnished, with modern appliances and very welcome air con (it was very hot weather when we were there). I was pleased to find the windows double glazed, so that kept out any city noise.
Overall, a great base to explore Milan and a place I would definitely return to.
