Beautiful venue on a little knoll above a quiet bend of the Deschutes river. Ample 3 BR house with well stocked cooking gear in kitchen and a sweet little backyard patio and picnic table. Dogs are welcomed! Our terrier had a blast searching for chipmunks. Meanwhile, we took advantage of 2 paddle boards and a kayak on site (along with oars and life jackets) to float down the river. Saw a bald eagle. Absolutely dreamy and gorgeous. We'd love to visit again in the winter.
Had a few hiccups with the Avari management team, but ultimately got things sorted out. They sent our "welcome" message on the day of arrival but forgot to include our access code. Also, make sure you bring your own coffee gear! The house is a long drive from stores (which is marvelous because it's so quiet and tranquil) but you need to come prepared. We brought a pound of ground coffee, but the house had a Keurig machine with no pods, a Mr Coffee machine with no filters, and a french press with no kettle for boiling water. We ultimately had our morning coffee by boiling water in a sauce pan. Despite these minor annoyances, it's areally lovely spot.
