The worst accommodation experience I have ever had — dirty, unsafe, misleading and extremely unprofessional.
There was absolutely nothing good about this accommodation or my stay.
Almost everything needs to be improved. Our experience was unacceptable from the very beginning. On the first day, we were left waiting outside the property for around an hour and were not able to check in until almost midnight.
The room itself was extremely dirty and clearly had not been properly prepared before our arrival. There was rubbish left on the table, dust all over the floor, dirty bedding, a dirty towel under the pillow, and even someone else’s clothes left on the balcony. There were no proper clean bedsheets or duvet covers provided.
There were also serious maintenance and safety problems. There was no reliable hot water, no WiFi, and exposed electrical wires were sticking out of the walls in several places, which made the room feel unsafe.
The accommodation was also completely different from the listing. The booking page advertised a 50 m² apartment with multiple beds, but the room we actually received was only around 20 m² and had only one bed. This was extremely misleading.
The service and attitude were equally unacceptable. There was no proper reception, communication was difficult, and the person responsible for the property was rude, sarcastic and unprofessional when we raised legitimate concerns. At around 2 a.m., while we were still trying to resolve these problems, the contact person even told us to leave the property. Even after we had checked out, a staff member continued calling me repeatedly, which I found very disturbing and completely inappropriate.
This was without doubt the worst accommodation experience I have ever had while travelling. The property urgently needs to improve its cleanliness, maintenance, safety, accuracy of its listing, check-in arrangements and, above all, the professionalism and attitude of the people managing it.
