Located on Werney Road within the Yosemite Lakes / Coarsegold corridor along State Route 41. The neighborhood feels rural and wooded with a quiet, small-town historic village center in Coarsegold a few miles away. Major local draws are Bass Lake (recreation and boating), the southern gateway to Yosemite National Park via Highway 41, and Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino. Services (groceries, fuel, dining) are in Coarsegold and larger nearby towns such as Oakhurst and Fresno.
Most visitors rely on a car — the area is low-density and not well served by frequent local transit. Driving times: roughly 30–40 minutes to Fresno-area suburbs and about 20–30 minutes to Bass Lake (varies by exact route). Nearest major commercial airport: Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) — approximately 30–40 miles (about 45–60 minutes by car). Amtrak service is available to Merced or Fresno; from those stations travelers typically rent a car or take regional bus/shuttle connections toward the Yosemite gateway. Regional shuttle/park services (YARTS and other seasonal shuttles) provide routes into Yosemite from gateway towns, but service frequency is seasonal and often requires driving to the pickup hub.
