Major local draws are Bass Lake (recreation and boating), the southern gateway to Yosemite National Park via Highway 41, and Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino. Services (groceries, fuel, dining) are in Coarsegold and larger nearby towns such as Oakhurst and Fresno.
Most visitors rely on a car — the area is low-density and not well served by frequent local transit.
