Three guests can settle into a true beach week at this ocean-view Sugar Beach Resort condo. The one-bedroom, one-bath home has two beds for a maximum of three people, plus air conditioning, a kitchen, and an in-home washer and dryer. Start with a swim or a long walk along the beachfront, trade the sand for the shared pool or hot tub, then decide whether an afternoon at Maalaea Harbor or a drive to South Kihei sounds better. Kamaole Beach Park III is there for another kind of beach day. At 613 square feet, this is a well-balanced choice for a couple with a child or three close travelers who want a straightforward Maui base.
The Space:
The one-bedroom layout has two beds and one bath for up to three guests, giving a couple with a child or a small travel party useful flexibility. Ocean views add island character to the interior, while the kitchen, air conditioning, and in-home washer and dryer make daily beach life easier to keep up with.
Guest Access:
Guests at Sugar Beach Resort enjoy access to the shared communal pool, hot tub, and BBQ grills right along the shore in Kihei. The building offers an elevator, disabled parking spot, and accessible-height features for easy access. Beach access and landscaped grounds with a garden round out the on-site amenities.
The Neighborhood:
North Kihei offers a softer-paced stretch of South Maui, with Sugar Beach for walking and swimming and Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge for a quiet nature outing. Maalaea Harbor is close for a boat trip or a visit to the Maui Ocean Center. For a busier afternoon, head south toward Kihei’s cafés and the sandy, family-friendly scene at Kamaole Beach Park III. It is a location that lets a group of three choose between a full outing and an open afternoon.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

We absolutely loved this property. The oceanfront view was amazing. The place was clean and beautiful with lots of amenities and a stocked kitchen. Lots of amenities (shampoo, conditioner, lotion) as well as beach items that saved us from having to rent them ourselves (umbrellas, beach chairs, sunscreen, even a collapsible mini cooler). Beds were comfortable and unit is updated. The resort had a beautiful location (walk down the beach to Ululani’s shaved ice!) and an amazing pool with a view. Communication was all via email with Vacasa but perfect as far as timing and offering late checkout (which we utilized). Honestly, I can’t think of anything we’d change. We left Maui incredibly happy with our stay.

This condo was the perfect place to stay in Kihei! The condo was more than well stocked with every extra you’d need! Check all the cupboards before you go buy anything! Perfect location to jump on the highway or cruise down S. Kihei road. Over all a perfect stay!

We had another great stay at Sugar Beach Resort. Always something we look forward to. Only reason we gave a 4 of 5 for cleanliness was the rugs were dirty.

The view was amazing. We loved listening to the crashing. Close to the airport and some really nice beaches. The resort beach is very swimmable. The unit smells awful like mothballs or something. You acclimate to the smell after a while. We could hear our upstairs neighbor opening and closing their slider to the patio had a constant. It was so annoying and not relaxing at all. Is an older unit that was remodeled Nicely. Overall, it was OK. I don’t think that we would stay here again. We came in May and there were a lot of seniors vacationing here. They be in the Jacuzzi every night really great conversation to be had. Kitchen was well stocked with items. You may need a few wanted to cook.
