At Hartland Point and Lighthouse (3 miles), the Bristol Channel meets the Atlantic, while Speke’s Mill Mouth and waterfall (4 miles) reward walkers with sandy stretches at low tide. Youngsters will love exploring the rock pools at Bucks Mills Beach (9 miles), which is also ideal for leisurely picnics. Hartland village (2 miles) has traditional shops and pubs, and Clovelly (6 miles) charms with its cobbled streets and harbour. The Milky Way Adventure Park (16 miles) and Bude with Crooklets Beach (22 miles) both make rewarding day trips.

Climb up to the mezzanine where you’ll discover a cosy king size bedroom tucked beneath the eaves (limited headroom) – a lovely spot to retreat after a day on the coast.

Thanks to the private hot tub, you can also sink into warm bubbles beneath the open sky after long coastal walks. There’s private parking for two cars so you can come and go with ease.
