Absolutely beautifully presented lodge , immaculately clean , the hosts left a welcome pack , cheese scones , lemon drizzle cake , butter wine and tea coffee and sugar plus milk which I thought was fabulous! The lodge had literally everything you could need for an extremely comfortable stay, the location was perfect 👌 really quiet but a short drive from town .
There was absolutely nothing we didn’t love about the lodge!

Clean, well appointed, lovely view of the paddock and conveniently located for touring.
The owners are aware that there is road noise from the A1. Had we stayed where we stayed last year, we would have also heard the constant swishing of the waves on a beach: same sound.

Our stay at HH was magical! The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Alnwick and the Northumberland coast, and although we were there for just two nights, it felt so much more restorative than that. Our only regret was not staying longer! We felt wonderfully tucked away from the busy town, while still being close enough to everything.
Lindsay kindly left us wine, bread, butter and Percy Pigs, which was such a lovely touch and perfect for our little holiday. We were so lucky to meet Lindsay’s family and her chickens, Oreo, Big Billy and Wheezy, and loved giving them cuddles on the gorgeous lawn. There is also a beautiful space outside for eating dinner while watching the swallows flying around and the many wild bunnies hopping across the grass. We also really appreciated how beautifully decorated the interior was - the quality and functionality of the furniture made the space feel both thoughtful and practical, particularly for anyone needing to use the sofa bed. It was clear that a great deal of thought and care had gone into creating such a lovely and welcoming space. We will absolutely be back in the future!
