The location is right in the shopping precinct of Melbourne city, lots of options of food and shopping. Easy access to public transport. The room was clean but the apartment could do with some upgrades, it's a well used apartment. The apartment is comfortable overall and has the basics you will need.
Host/ company that runs the apartment makes you go through a third party platform to check-in. This third party platform makes you upload a government ID and photo and all your data is kept by the host on site Digitally. Absolutely no info on how this data is stored and secured by the hosts. This is the only way to check-in and if you don't agree with the privacy terms you can't check into the apartment. The host/company won't allow you to check in any other way. You will not be able to access the room and if you cancel your stay, you will be charged. Apparently check-in is tied to this system. I wouldn't have an issue with this check-in system if it was stated before you book and pay.
