Thank you for choosing Marie & Alex’s Manor, a luxury home located in The Hideout; A premier, four season, 5-star gated community with 24-hr security, nestled within the Pocono mountains. The space
Alex and Marie’s Manor is a spacious & luxurious 3 story, 4 bed - 3 full bath Cape Cod with hardwood floors throughout the entire home, a furnished screened in porch with propane fire table and walking distance to main Pool/Beach! Master bedroom has a king bed, jacuzzi style tub, private master bath & access to private upper back deck. The main floor’s flowing open concept provides more than enough space for the entire family. Living room with large leather sectional, NEST thermostat controlled central AC/Heat, floor to ceiling propane fireplace, ultra modern kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel GE profile appliances, eat in kitchen, separate dining area which seats 8-10 (optional leaf for the table) and plenty of natural light with large windows on all sides of the home. 2 queen bedrooms with zoned split unit AC/Heat are also located on the main floor with one of the bedrooms giving direct access to the back deck via sliding glass door. Lower level family TV/game room with Foosball table, Wii console and games, mini fridge & wet bar also has its own bedroom and full bathroom with washer and dryer. There is also an additional eating area on the back deck with propane grill hard wired to the homes propane tank. Upper level over sized loft also gives extra space for entertainment. Fishing is allowed with a Pennsylvania fishing license(children under 16 can fish for free). All fish caught must be released. 1 adult and children's fishing rods included. Skiing is available within the community, weather and snow availability permitting. Swimming pools are open during the summer season only, from Memorial day through Labor day.
** Please note that linens and towels are available. But you are welcome to bring your own. There will be kitchen hand towels and dish rags in the home and a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom.

This house is beautiful. It was clean, well organized. The cabinets are all labeled so you know where everything is. The kitchen was fully equipped. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated with high end linens and comfortable beds. The basement was great for the kids to hangout while the adults stayed upstairs and watched movies and sports. Some of us skied at The Hideout that was right up the block and very affordable. The location is great with a supermarket, pharmacy, beer distributor and wine store 10 min away. Communication with owners were great. Check-in smooth. We loved our stay and hope to stay here again in the future. Thank you for a great weekend away from NYC.

We had a wonderful stay. Spacious home and comfortable. The only issues were not all of the lights worked in the kitchen and living room and the propane fireplace on the enclosed porch would not light. Not all Towels for bathing had washcloths so these little items require some greater attention to detail and a quick check before someone rents it but overall it was a great cozy beautiful clean home. We enjoyed it very much and would highly recommend!

The house was lovely. The book onsite states to let them know if there is anything broken or stained etc. So we messaged on VRBO that there was something in the washer that looked like it was covered in feces and the grill was dirty. I was told significantly later that the cleaning people had found a rag with coffee grounds in it so they threw it in the washer and that a new grill was coming Friday/Saturday. There was no laundry detergent, we let them know early in the week. The temp in the house was getting clos to 80 so I reached out early in the week about how to correct that and never heard back. There was a power outage, which is obviously not something that can be helped but there were alarms going off because there was no matter is in the smoke detectors so we had to disconnect them all to be able to go in the house. And I had to reach out to get information about when the power might come back. On Saturday someone came to deliver the grill but we didn't know what anyone was supposed to do with it so we said as much to the delivery person. Then 10 minutes later Peter showed up at the door, without saying who he was, and handed my husband a bottle of laundry detergent and asked if the grill came. Apparently he had messaged me an hour earlier telling me what to do with it and I didn't see it because I was packing. Meanwhile there were several of.my messages he never responded to. We explained how frustrating it was for it to be warm and uncomfortable and be ignored. Told Peter how we called the number listed on VRBO and in the book and he told me it was the wrong number as it I put it there. This man laughed at us. He literally laughed and told us it was a vacation and we should relax...as if I came on vacation to worry about someone else's grill delivery, what if we hadn't been there at all? Told us we didn't know how to work the Nest, not that there were instructions but it was pretty straightforward. He went up and adjusted it to 58 and shockingly it remained at 76 all day. The home and community was lovely but that man was awful and rude. If the owners are interested I have a video of him being rude to us as well as screen shots of the messages he ignored and tried to pretend he responded to.
